An interesting read on whether college is worth it or not, written by a former United States Secretary of Education and a Liberal Arts Graduate, William J. Bennett. Dr. Bennett builds a case against unnecessarily expensive, underperforming colleges and lists alternatives including MOOC (massive open online courses) that are undergoing its own challenges because it is still new, yet some universities feel threatened by it that they forbid students from taking MOOC classes. This is a good eye-opener if you haven’t been exposed to this idea yet. Definitely worth reading.
